Just purchased what appears to be a 1978 Tri-Mate 1, judging by the brochure photos in the gallery. I'll know for sure when I get the paperwork and pick up the boat on Saturday. The only major problems I see are peeling clearcoat, and of course the upholstery is trash from sitting in the sun. Also, there is no motor. I have a line on a 110-115hp engine, but was wondering what size engine is a good fit for this boat?? I only gave $200.00 for it, on the original trailer, and the transom and overall condition of the boat, and trailer, is good.

Howdy and welcome! New to the form myself. I purchased a 75 TRV with a 115 Merc about a month ago. You have came to the correct place this site is full of info. I have spent hours reading the forms and the the things i have learned is (well it can get me into a lot of trouble).
