Checkmate fanatic or internet fanatic?

Lately, first thing I do in the morning is brew coffee and check the boards I frequent to see whats been going on. I look here and oso... takes me about an hour to get caught up on everything ususally. I've been trying to participate more because I find I get more out of the boards.

This year sounds like it will be the best yet around here- we have a couple of events planned that all members can participate in, no matter thier boat size. Should be a good one!

I am holding off on joining OSO.......If I did, my productivity would go down the tubes.....this site is addicting enough.

I work with computers so I'm on and off the internet all the time, so I'm not on alot during the weekend. I'm a checkmate/boat fanatic big time...owned my own boat since I was 12. I always wanted a black checkmate with a big merc on it...now I have one. :D Just about anything that burns fuel I'm in to. I have a couple nitro rc boats which crack me up everytime I run the things.

Absolute boating fanatic! I just bought my first pleasure boat at the end of last boating season. (Yup, the checkmate) I've been working on tugboats for ten years now after going to a 4 year maritime college. In highschool I worked at a yacht club after school. Alot of people ask if working on boats has ruined boating for me, I tell them I can't get enough. I'd live on a boat if I could.

As far as the site goes it seems like I check it more when I have free time at work. I check it a couple of times a week at home.

I am absoulutly addicted to both, boating and the internet, i can't live with out either!!! As far as the boating goes, i've been a hard core performance boat enthusiast since i was single didgit age, i had a subscription to Hot Boat magazine since i was 10 years old (1990) all the way up to it's demise a year or 2 ago, then i went to the new Hot Boat copy mag., Performance Boats Magazine which is pretty good too, and Powerboat Mag isn't bad either. As soon as i had the chance and the money i went looking specifically for my Enchanter, i have always loved Checkmate! I have good job and make a good living but unfortionatly it's not enough to buy any new, bigger high performance boat, i dream of being able to walk into a Checkmate dealer and be able to custom order up my dream boat, a new Convincor 270 with a Merc 525 under the hatch, but it's just that...a dream. Maybe a used one someday....Anyways, i spend lot's of time in the internet during the winter, not much else to do up north. It's kinda tough over the summer tho cuz the lake house does not have internet, but at least i can get my boating fix lol!

Ok so we have 5000+ members and we have 50+ who actually post on this site. For me its one in the same. Go boating - share with the rest.

What are the other thousands of Checkmate owners doing? Are they boating fanatics or do they just use it a couple times a year? I am first and fore most (spelling) a fanatic. All I think about are boats and trucks.

So this brings us to my question......... are the members who don't post still boating fanatics?

How many Checkmate owners really use their boat and love it?

~( Fanatic Here )~ Also 1. Boats , 2. 4x4's 3. motorcycles ~ ZX-10 Ninja~ Adrenaline Junkie here:devil::thumb::cheers:

i've said it before checkmating & jeeping are a lifestyle <the internet just helps the addiction become more of the reality ! thank god my wife enjoys both !

My name is Tim and I am a boatboardaholic. I have no friends, not personal life and am barely hanging on at work. The corvette I just bought sits in the garage in need of only a driver... because I'm logged on... waiting... for one of my only friends in the world to acknowledge my existance... There you have it... Pathetic and proud of it!

addictions include about anything fast and loud... motorcycles (softtail, zx-11, gs1150E), cars (2000 corvette, lowered, 410 gears, 6 speed, engine work, etc...), firearms (won't even get started on this one...), working out, etc, etc, etc... and of course women... :bigthumb:

any questions?

I hate the internet if not for this site and the occasional porn site vist I would have no use for it.:sssh:

And as Checkmate fanatic/boater I won't even dignify that question with an answer! :surf:

I hate computers, As a process operator I have to sit in front of one at work for 12 hr. shifts. I think I'm a boataholic as I spend money I don't have on the mate, and this site is so attractive that I'm going to loose my job if they every find out how much time I spend on it while at work.
