Checkmate for sale (Sold)

Vic,

I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling too well. Hang in there, I'm sure you'll be feeling better before long.

Good luck selling your Mate.

I'm sorry to hear of the reason as to why you must sell your Checkmate...I hope you have a full and speedy recovery...hopefully someone will snatch up your Mate before long so it is one less thing on your mind...

All the best,

B.P.

Vic,

Let's see if we can get this Mate sold for you.

What year is it? And also, what kind of speed will it run?

Thanks Chris. It's a 1978 Inmate 1 with a 3.7L 180 HP inboard. Best speed I ever saw on my Garmin GPS was 64 MPH, but, the breeze was on my back and the water was perfectly calm and I was alone in the boat.

Vic

i really like that boat. its clean. my buddy saw an inmate here on the river and fell in love with it. too bad yours is so far away.

I think Vic is situated around Leamington, Ontario.

That's actually out near the Windsor/Detroit border.

I'm also just a short ferry trip across Lake Erie from Sandusky, Ohio, but, the ferry doesn't start running until April. With a decent deposit I'd hold the boat until the ferry starts running or you can come over by the tunnel or bridge at Detroit, Michigan.

Vic:

Maybe you should keep the boat and relax in it.

In all seriousness, best of luck and a speedy recovery.

Jim

Thanks Jim. Who knows what'll happen at the auction. Maybe it won't sell and that will possibly be a sign to keep it for relaxation, but, for now, my wife (who manages our finances) say's to sell it.

I don't think I'll find another boat like this down the road when my health improves and I have the cash. I love the sleek styling and lines of this boat.
