CHECKMATE OWNERS RALLY 2011

Why did you change your mine and need a head count on how many boats you will need to wash.
:D

nope i was just wondering how many boats you will be watching have a great time is all:poke: you know my reasoning for what i did:poke: dont be an ass....;)

Well, my wife usually has to take her vacation over July 4th, but that got cancelled and freed up a little time. When she asked me what I wanted to do, i mentioned the rally and she immediately jumped on board.

I put in for vacation and pending approval, I will start making arrangements. Probably gonna try to stay at State Dock or Jamestown. We plan on coming down on the 22nd and returning home on the 25th.

Already talked to Barry for a bit and he was really helpful. Thanks again.

Lookin forward to hangin out with you guys.

I'M gonna be the guy that just shows up and drinks the beer lol Gonna be an undercover checkmate dude c ya there lol

opps u saw my pontoon dam it!

I am planning on coming, how steep are the ramps at lc? I tow with a fwd 4cyl honda and it doesn't like steep ramps. I went to center hill last weekend and almost didn't get my boat out of the water.

hey man,i hope you can make it! I have been to Center Hill but i can't rember how steep the ramps are.At Cumberland most of the ramps are steep,i would say that Conley Bottom or the ramp near State Dock would be the best for you.:thumb:

Tell ya what buddy, you just make sure your boat gets to Connley, one of us with a truck will make sure it gets in and out of the water for ya!!! So there is no excuse for you not to come!!

You can count one in from Minnesota!!! Just like John Lamon, my girlfriend is planning and paying for this trip for my birthday! All I have to do is bring the Checkmate and the beer! John, if our timing works out, maybe we can meet and travel down together the last 700+ miles?

The ramp at Grider Hill is a gradual grade. Especially since the lake will be up at 700 this year from 680. If you need assistance I'll be staying at Grider on saturday. Just let me know !!!

I don't know where you got the 700 info, but on lc.com. the Commonwealth journel has an artical about 680 until 2014. I hope you are right about 700!

20' of water = A-LOT-A WATER!!:bounce:!

Heck, its been so long, I forget what it looks like at 725'. Guess we will be drinking cold ones in 2014 saying "I can't believe how big this lake is again:thumb:"

Hey guys, is it just me or does it seem like none of these places have covered transient slips? And, am I the only one that really cares about having a covered slip?

Actually connley does offer covered slips. I believe they are $40 a night. But a little morning dew never hurt anything. No different than spending the night anchored in a cove!!
