CHECKMATE OWNERS RALLY 2014

Looks like me and the wife will be heading down this year, Should be leaving the house around 1:00am and that should put us down there around 10:00am Friday if all goes well. Have a room at Grinder Friday night and a slip for Saturday night, also possibly stay Sunday night. Might try and plan to have lunch on the water some were Friday when we get down there any good places to take a boat ride to and eat? Also is 76 falls the hang out then for Friday? :D

Awesome glad to hear you guys are going to make it !!! Yes the Checkmate houseboat will be anchored at 76 falls for the weekend and will be the base of operations. Looking forward to meeting you and your wife. We will be having a lunch/early dinner for all that are interested on the houseboat saturday afternoon at some point. Since we will be on "lake time" we kinda let the flo of the day dictate the chain of events. So see you soon !!!!
 
Since Conley will be a late breakfast/early lunch stop I'd say we will be having dinner back at the boat.

'Hear Ye', 'Hear Ye'....I Bring You Saturdays Schedule of Events

All Times are CST for Saturdays Events:
  • 9:00 AM - Assemble in no wake zone at grider for run to Conley Bottom for Breakfast /Brunch
  • 12:00 - Run to Harmon Creek for short raft up (thirst quencher:drool:)
  • 2:00 - Run to Otter Creek for Raft Up
  • 5:00 - Dinner @ Checkmate Houseboat in 76 Falls
Keep in mind this is "Lake Time" meaning more than likely possibly add 1-2 hours for each stop, so dinner may be late....or not.;)

See you all in a few hours..........It's Rally Time Folks !!!!! :banana:
 
We had a superb day here at LC today. We took a morning cruise to 76 falls and when we returned we did some good high speed running to Jamestown for lunch with Will( impressive eggbeater) Helmich,Jason(awesome 253 ohio state not so awesome hehe)Kalugs22( sweet new boat)our wives and some little ones. Good times . Then a raft up at Guffy with Horseplay Doug and Mindy. Helmich took some pics Im sure he will share soon. A great day to be a Checkmate owner. Burning gas and kicking a$$. These are some fine boats I had the pleasure of running with. This forum is spectacular!!! Big thanks to Chris ,Brian,Jeff Dave and Barry.

Good Morning !!!

Good Morning All, the forecast for today is cloudy with a high of 70 with 60% chance of rain moving in from the southwest. Looks like a possibly moist morning but should pass.
Lets use the shine and shimmer of our beautiful machines for our sunshine !!!:surf:
 
We are packing up. Should be on the road by 7:30 hopefully on the water b 12:30. It's gonna be a wet drive. See y'all soon. Let's get the rain outta here!!!
 
Sitting in my bosses cabin with minimal phone/internet signal. Trying to get the wife up to head over to Grider Hill to try to get the houseboat a little early today. We should be all tied up at 76 early afternoon and the party will begin. Looking forward to a great weekend with great friends. See you all in a couple hours. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. Due to limited internet availability I may be slow to respond. If you have my cell # you can call me but phone service is spotty at best here.

We would love to run with you all on Saturday. We planned on leaving back here about 10 but just kind of watching the weather. I have an all red 242
 
Due to the moist weather worst case scenario we will run to otter then dinner will be back at 76 falls on the Checkmate houseboat. We have lots of food so all are welcome to fill your bellies !!! Those who are milling around at the moment you are welcome to come to 76 falls and join us this morning.
