Checkmate Value

The jack plate gets the motor higher for less drag. There's other factors such as running a prop partially above the surface to allow it to spin more RPM's but basically its just to get the propshaft in the sweet spot. I also noticed with mine that the boat planes a lot faster with the motor higher.

Update ! for a couple months,was'nt sure if deal was going to go through.
I now own the boat! Better shape than i thought! The last time boat was out of garage was around 2001. I'm putting a list together of things to do and check.
1; clean fuel system out.tank/carbs/ect
2; oil change
3; clean every thing, wash,wax,vinyl,
4; wheel bearings
What else to do and check? Here's pic's fresh from storage uncleaned! :)

Make sure to add the waterpump to the list. The boat looks to be in great shape. Love the look and condition of the gel coat.
