checkmate weekend 2013

I do believe i will put in for a 4 day weekend and drag the boat back out that way! love the bay! its about a 12 hour drive for me or a little less. If anyone for my direction would like to ride along i might have an empty truck seat!

Booowooo Yahhh!!!! (I mean that in only the most positive of ways).

As long as its positive and not bird poop on my head!! Looks like i will drive to Perryville MD and drop the boat in. Tie it to the back of a friends sail boat and set a coarse to wherever you all decide! I think i could make it there by friday night! :surf:

Gentlemen, I look forward to the pleasure of spending a late evening with you debating the semantics of "boo ya".
And if we really strike gold we may even witness a repeat performance of the avian bombing that took place last summer.
Will pack an extra shirt for knarloid.
Let's hope...................please, please please.

I think I might wrap the extra prop and hub with the extra shirt...:thumb: just sayin'

Sim- are you flying solo this year? Interested in the house?

Good question. I just sent a pm to knarloid asking the same thing, whether we're going stag or fam.
My guess is if it's just
the two of us we'll split a room (or a tent if we can't fit into a house). If it's wives and kids it get's a
llttle more complicated.
Laura's vote is for a boat we can sleep in with a fridge and a head. Like I said... it get's complicated.
(I've been fighting
hard to stick with the Liner-don't want a 2'nd boat and maintenance and don't want to give up the
simplicity and fun of
the Liner). Personally, my vote ... (?)
I'd love to split a room with Chris and not subject our poor family's to this Bacchanalia.
(Nothing selfish about that, right?)
Oh, BTW, I'll bring some scuba equipment for prop searches.

You show up pulling a mate behind a sail boat. You wont be going home with a mate.:poke:

Haha well i need a place to sleep and since im sure that a mate that i would like that i can also sleep in wont be in the budget by then a sail boat with a pooper n a bed seem like a better way to sleep than a hotel room!

Just messing with you. I dont care how guys show up as long as they show up.
Hey can you tow me too, your going right by me. lol

How fast is the boat? Just wondering how long it will take you from Perryville to sail.

The more the better as long as the beer is cold! as for speed im not sure as I have never sailed i will prolly burn diesel the hole way there! Im guessing it will take awhile tho. i figure 5 hours or more. :eyecrazy:

Having just read a page and a half of this thread since earlier, I feel like I've just relived last years weekend in HD!

Looking like I'll be trucking with the family this time (yes, I told Sim already by PM). Hoping to do the house share.
It will tone down my antics, but if it saves me the cost of a few props, then it's been worth it.

Bring. It. On.

Your gonna be around 45 miles from perryville to magothy river. I dont now how fast sail boats run either. Just wondering.

Yeah I figured it at 50 miles and 10 mph. but who knows! my brother n i will be making the trip n since i will leave Indiana right after work Thursday night/Friday morning i will prolly sleep most of the boat ride down. Gotta have some energy for the rest of the weekend!!

Any objections to those dates? Jet, Drop, Atc, Demag, JLN??

How would everyone feel about home base being on the Chester River up near Chestertown? Found a nice house with a large enough dock to accommodate all over that way. The Chester River is a nice run to make and it would put us within easy distance to Kent Narrows and Rock Hall without needing to cross the bay. That may allow some of us smaller boat guys to make the run.

Spencer Hopefully i can make it , it was a great time last year with such a great group of people. i checked the weather for (6/22 - 6/23) and it looks fantastic sunny 85 & clear & no wind.

Hay all. Been kinda crazy here. Took the wife in to have a lump in her breast tagged and biopsied today. She found out about it end of November. Should know something in a few days.

As far as the dates, they are good with me. I still might be up in the air as to whether or not I can make it. I'll have to play it be ear. What ever you decide is OK with me. I definitely am going to do everything I can to be there.

On the lighter side Ya' All,,,,,, Boo yaaa!
