CHECKMATE WEEKEND CHESAPEAKE BASH 2014

keith, thanks for posting address. i have been busy with the boat so i havent been on here much. we are going to bring hot dogs, burgers, buns, soda, maybe some pasta salad or something.

Damn folks - gutted I won't be on this weekend.
Shaping up to be another great weekend.
The mention of ribs and Mrs Ramifications' Caesar Salad takes me back to the first night last year - AWESOME!!!!

We're still heading south to NC at the weekend.

If I can swing the journey past the house, I'll try to stop by for a few hours. No promises.

Drink a few each for me!

Almost cooked my motor! Went out, first time yesterday, something clogged my right exhaust water passage. Was running hard with my daughters boyfriend when he said he smelled something burning. Shut her down real quick, grabbed the fire extinguisher, and popped the hatch. Saw a little smoke coming from the right riser, nothing more. The right exhaust manifold was hot, the engine temp was 195 (temp for jet should be 120 tops). Restarted engine and water was way to hot coming from right exhaust. Then the water started flowing a lot better and Cody yells "engine temp is dropping back to normal". But by that time the exhaust hose had melted enough to develop a small leak. Engine seemed to be running fine but bilge pump was on duty. Went back to island to hang with my daughter for the rest of the day, keeping an eye on the leak. Came back in full strength, and replaced hose today. So what ever clogged her up seems to have made its way through. Ran her on garden hose today, everything seems fine. See you Friday.

Glad to hear everything's ok. I came back past the island yesterday about 6 pm.

Yea me to.
I use antifreeze to winterize my boat and since a jet drive engine runs so cool, I was wondering if the antifreeze could jell in the engine since it never really gets hot, especially sitting over the winter. Any thoughts on that. Should I use something else to winterize?
