Checkmates in Texas??

Just wondering how many members have Checkmates in Texas. I live a little north of Dallas and work at a hot lake for fast boats. But, I havn't seen any Checkmates.

Did you get another boat.How are things in texas.I think your old boat is still up this way in New york.

Hey Daren, you run the lake ? I never seen you out there. I go between TC and Seabrook Beach. Most of the time, I just run San Jack river. We need to hook up sometime. We are like the Marines, "the few and the proud"
 
Just as I figured. Not many Checks in Texas, at least from this board.

There is a nice 251 in Rockwall that is for sale in the BoatTrader. That's the only one I know of. Wish I could buy it!!

Hey Mr Happy, good to know that 3 mates run Clear Lake. I was out today it was nice. I was trying to get the Kemah Breast to run with me to Kemah cut. The GPS read 55 mph not bad for 80 ft boat.But the ckmate had him cover.
 
hey 229... i miss playing in my lil mate.. she's headed off to the paint shop at the end of the month.. pepe is gonna give her a squirt or two.. i hope to have her all put together by the early part of september.. untill then, i'll be running around the lake in my egg harbor.. come visit us in swan lagoon.. we try and anchor out there on sundays.. name of the egg is grand slam... cu soon!!
 
Mr Happy, you owned Egg Harbor named Grand Slam. Do you own a Denny's ? Swan lagoon is it near hwy 146 by Blue Dolphin Marine.That would be cool just to talked another Ckmate owner.To many nuts on the lake today (4th). I'll try hooking up with you next weekend.

my egg is in clear lake marine center. i've seen the other boat your talking about in blue dolphin.. my egg is 33'.. and i don't own denny's... but we will be in swan lagoon next sunday... stop by and say hi..

Mr Happy , Swan lagoon near what part of lake ? By the Hilton or Kemah cut. I know it's not big area, but I don't recall being in swan lagoon area.

swan lagoon is back in nassau bay.. travel past south shore harbor, head on toward the entrance to clear creek,, and just as you get to the entrance of clear creek, you'll see a channel to the right.. take that channel, and your now in swan lagoon.. (stay in the channel) it gets shallow quick.. :bigthumb:
 
Hey Guys, I'm in the middle of a deal to get an 88 Enforcer I\O. It's in need of a resto, but I have a few good ideas. Maybe see you on the lake, and check out your Checks for some good ideas as well. Chris

Mr Grimsleeper, Why did you try to swing a deal on that 30'mate sitting by Marker 1 marine on NASA rd 1 ?
I stop by and look at it. It's a nice ride from Chicago area, don't know what they want for it.I would love to get my hands on it.

<< is headed out sunday for some r&r!!! I saw that checmate at marker 1 too.. I also saw a lil checkmate at parkside.. its sitting on the side of the building...

I have to go find my jacket. its only gonna be 96 today.. and i have to work outside... hope to see you at the lagoon sunday.. !@!
 
Checking in from Arlington. I've got a '92 Persuader 219. She's all Black with red/white pinstipes. 350 Mag/Alpha for power. Named "Black Beauty". We boat on Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie, but also go to Eagle Mountain, Grapevine, and Possum Kingdom occasionally. Been to Lake Texoma and Lewisville a couple of times. Mama doesn't like Lewisville much though. She's down for some repairs right now, so it's not been on the water since spring. Getting there, but not soon enough.

You can see pics of it here. And some of the 8' over flooding of Joe Pool Lake and the Oasis Restaurant/Marina area that happened Thursday. They say that they can't let out any water for two weeks because of the existing flood waters down stream on the Trinity River. Wow!
