Checkmates NEW 40 footer

Big Red

Well-known member
I here that Checkmate is making a 40 plus footer and going to be shown at Miami.

Seen these post on OSO

Good news for the production powerboat market is Checkmate has a new 40+ for the miami boat show. So at least someone is coming out with a new production powerboat!

My brother said they have a 40-something going on at the moment, he stopped by the factory awhile back.

I was just wondering what molds they got their hands on to do it, my original guess was maybe the Chief/Saccenti mold.

From what I heard, there is an outside investor that is bank-rolling quite a bit of the first few boats.

In the next five years a couple of New larger offshore performance models added in the works probably will. You might see one new larger model soon.

:thumb: FROM WHAT I HAVE HERD THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS MY GUESS IS
THAT IT WILL BE AROUND A 42 MADE FROM A CHIEF MOLD.
:D CALLED A CAPACHE

That 40 footer they are building in the back is not a Checkmate. They are renting space to someone

This subject came up not to long ago. They are simply laying up some large(40+) boats for some one else who had the money to pay them for doing it. Not part of the Checkmate lineup. Maybe this is one of the reasons they don't make new model imformation availabe here first. They just get there balls busted on how stupid they are and how bad there boats look, beckmate, capache. If it's built in the Checkmate factory by Checkmate employee's using the same high quality methods as they have always used and they want to put Checkmate on the side of it, guess what, it's a Checkmate!

either way, for or against it, its keepin them in bussiness. i hope to see some pics soon!
I agree considering i live in a town or area that once had three Boat Co's thriving one is out of business P.Q. with S2 YACHTS , having to diversify its business by building windmill blade's along with building yachts for a Boat Co in the Netherlands just to keep there doors open , and Skater is slow but still plugging away .

I should have asked you first boatman. I did not know you were Checkmates spokesman.

QUESTION ON OSO

Is Checkmate building a bigger boat
Has anyone heard anything about Checkmate building a larger boat?

Answers by DennyB that claims he is Checkmates Admin.

Building a bigger boat you ask? Besides an all new deep performance hull design 26 Convincer coming out late this fall,
you might see something else from Checkmate that will just blow you away at the Miami Boat Show in February

thats pretty cool that chief was a very sharp boat i wonder if checkmate would lay them up as heavy

Just repeating what I was told by Dean Reynolds as he took me through the plant and showed me the one they were working. Dean holds down some position at Checkmate, I think it is plant manager. If he lied to me, blame him.

Now that Randy has spilled the beans...

I found out all about this last month while I was over there. 1st one is already sold and will have 700s. I got to check it all out and see the improvements they are making to both the dash's and cabin layout. The strb dash was glased up and port side was still in the design stage back in the studio with the new 26. It will be a Checkmate (420 Convincor, if I remember right).

Its a badass boat from what I've seen. Should handle better with tanks in the floor vs the saddle tanks of the orginal Chief... and speed with the 700s I'm guessing will be very similar to the 950? powered orginal due to being a fuzz lighter... it should be alot better boat all the way around than the orginal. I'm thinking it will run upper 80s or maybe even see 90
Either way, its a very exciting year over there at the plant.

I wonder sometimes if the guys at the factory sit back and laugh their azzs off!:D

" Hey Doug how long you think before the guys on the forum talk crap about this"
"Shouldn't take em long Dean, but did you make sure you got in a peice of the boat in that picture you sent out" HAHAHA This should get em going a little!!!!

Thats about how I picture it.
