All I'm gonna say is I just parked a bunch of dough in a little startup if it pans out I'll take you guys for a ride
seems to me this build is catching some unwarranted flack from alot of people.
this hull (as i understand it) is a direct rip of the apache/chief hull. and seriously guys....do yall think that people wouldnt jump at the chance to own a Brand new apache/checkmate? i mean its not liek these guys have started from scratch and are trying to re invent the wheel. they took a tried and true proven race winner and wave pounding monster and built on that....and with checkmates long history of boat building im sure they were able to improve: lighter weight, better power options, better rigging, just an all around improvement based on build techniques and improved materials.
EVERYBODY seems to agree that the apache was and still is the best handling/riding v hull ever built...not the fastest...but the best non the less. hell the old apaches are still goin for well into 6 figures...and thats old and used...re rigged maybe...but still 20+ years old and used.
and if the msrp is 499k i would look for actual sale prices to be 10-15% less at least. nothing sells for retail...and especially in this economy.
just a thought.
Chevy, your are partially correct. The mold used for the Punisher was the Chief/Nutech 43. The only tie to Apache is that Bob Sacente (Apach) originally designed/Marketed the Nutech/Chief boats.
