Chesapeake Bash 2013 - June 7-10

Well Bob and myself got over to the house today. Hes got all the pics and will get them up soon. I can tell you i think its gonna work out just fine. The peir is long enough we should all be able to tie up with probaly no rafting off each other. It was low tide and there was close to 2 ft of water at the start of the pier. They claim about 6 at the end. The ramp there is just the yard that goes down into the water. Bob drove his truck onto it and the sand was hard he didnt sink at all. I think it will work fine since there seems to be a pretty deep water there you shouldnt have to go in very far. Droptop will probaly have to get a someone with a truck to put him in the caddy sits a little low for the beach ramp. Parking may be a little tricky since the land is wooded and not cleared. We looked it over and fiqure at worse we might have to unhook some trailers and move them in to spots by hand but they'll fit. Everyone should bring their own chairs and if anyone has tables beings theres only a picnic table and a hand full of chairs seen. We could also use grills, theres only the one small weber seen. I know from being there at night it gets real dark in the woods so bringing lights and laterns probaly would be good also. Theres more then enough wood to burn up but if any one had a fire pit or something to burn in that would be great so we dont burn up the grass. The wind was whipping really good down there and the water was still nice and smooth. Theres no speed limits and plenty of water right out front to goof off in. Theres a mom and pop store just a few miles away that has a little of everything. The old man and women were good poeple and said they could order us anything we needed "keg" if I gave them a call a week or two before. They had everything your 7-11 has. Thats about all I can think to report back. If you have any questions ask and Bob will get the pics up soon.

Thanks for all the scouting info guys! Woo HOOO!!! Sounds like we've got all we need. I think I may even stay a night or two more than I planned. Maybe I can even connive my wife in for this one.

And you can quote us on that. I'm quite comfortable in pink. Just ask JTpatroni for his opinion.

Water looks great for running, as far as we found out no speed limit:

Possible ramp for the smaller boats. Maybe Spence can double check with the owner. Keith and I checked it out as much as we could. Seems to be sand with gravel on top. Shore area was packed pretty good. Add claims boat ramp. Drove truck to water's edge. See what you think of tracks. Front of truck didn't sink but a little. I have never launched on a dirt ramp. ?????:

Looks Great, Ramp is better then I expected, but that first step to the dock looks sketchy. Plenty of room around the place for fun! who's got game?

I'm just imagining myself pulling down that drive for a great long weekend!

thanks guys!! for the pics ,looks like a big upgrade from last years chessy bash. im still hopeful I can make it. the rasberry canoe is a great sign along with the mom and pop beer stop. Spencer you had me for a second with your april fools joke.
 
Keith and bob thanks for scouting the place out. I have a small firepit from lowes I will try to bring down with me also. Always enjoy sitting around drinking at night around a fire.
 
Please be noted, april fools jokes should only be made on april 1st for the slower dumber people on the site that can't scroll down an inch and see april fools. really need a vacation because I still didn't believe it was a joke after knarloid said it was. had to go back to the post a couple of times to finally see it.:brickwall::brickwall::brickwall:

I even left that peckerhead a PM asking if everything is OK.

A. April fools jokes are reserved for the first day of April annually. The option of exercising said joke expires at midnight of that day.

B. You are so lucky that you're gonna be accompanied by your family at our Chesapeake get-together. That will probably spare you the experience of experiencing an April fools prank.:rof::devil:
