chesapeake checkmates

Hey guys whats up?

I was just wondering if you still go out on the sassafras, canal, or the Chesapeake? I will be out there this year with a black and white enforcer. Let me know, we could all get together sometime.

Lee

Right on Lee, I bought my 253 (pictured) in December so I can't wait to get out there. I spend lots of time at Lloyds (when I get time to go boating) Typically we have quite a large raft up over there most weekends with lots of runs and get togethers throughout the Summer. See you then,

Rob

Nice purchase! I went to Llyods last summer for the first time, looks like a good time. Hopefully the weather will be better this season last year it was always unpredictable. See you out there.

Lloyds is a great place and it is a 10 minute boatride from my ramp. let me know when you will be there and we'll hook up!!
I'm there almost every weekend after may.

I bought my boat from a guy on the Sassafrass 2 summers ago, it had been there since new (1993) it is now in Ontario on Lake Manitouwbing near Perry Sound all blue 185 Pulse with a 175 Mariner:bigthumb:

New for 2010

Hi all I bought a starflight last year and only had a few outings. I am working on hydraulic steering and a few other things for the 2010 spring launch. I usualy come out of the Bush river and see everyone here in the delaware area and the mysterious Sassafrass river I am hering so much about. For me the upper chesapeake goes into the susquehanna so I could use some navagational help with where everyone likes to hang out.
Previous to thyis boat i had a Shamrock and usualy headed south at a wopping 25 MPH for fishing. With weekend traffic the checkmate is not so happy with the bay so I am looking fror good speed spots.

who ever this captmorgan guy is needs to head over to little beach or up the poco river to catch a ride on some real boats.

Just read this for the first time. Haven't heard from alot of these guys in awhile. Funny that the Capt is still telling stories and Ross is still bitching so many years later. Just playing ross dont curse me.

Captain's gone underground for a while.
Anyone know where he is?

I know he does HVAC stuff and gets busy pretty in the summer doing AC repairs - but it's been quite a while since he's popped in and posted up a rambling captain-esque-post.

I hope he's OK. :(

He probably just spilled a drink on the computer and will have a story about the service guys when he returns:D

The air is starting to chill a bit so im sure he"ll be back from his ride soon.
I'm thinking him and Jim need there own little spot to tell there tales. Always makes for some good laughs, must be that rum stuff they take part in.

I like when he goes posts up some of his captain stuff and then you can count down until the inevitable newbie....er I mean....newer member or two that completely don't "get it" and wonder what the hell he's talking about. :rof:

I miss that old smilemaker. :)

ARR..... Me too hope the old Smilemaker be OK. AAARRRRRRRR.......

Years ago, I had one newbie suggest to me via PM that the poor old captain should be banned after he posted up one of his long rambling smilemaker/grenade posts! LOL!

Apparantly I guess, the guy just didn't get it. :D

Hopefully he's still upright and will pop in and post before long. :thumb:

I wonder if he has "Smilemaker" painted on his boat. I've gotten to where I almost understand everything he says! :shakehead:
