Chines and Reverse Chines, particularly on a Convincor

What I'm looking for is some specific imformation on chines. From what I know, Reverse Chines provide the hull with lift, especially at higher speeds. Reverse Chines can also contribute to chine walking because the chines are trying to lift the sides of the hull but can't hold it so it falls back down causing a chine walk. Is this right?...Ok, now on my 1988 251 Convincor, the chines seem to be different than most other boats, but I still don't know who has the reverse chines, my boat or the other ones. I originally thought that my Convincor had reverse chines because they are kinda upside down compared to many others, but now I'm thinking that the other boats are the ones with the reverse chines..??!! Does anyone know for sure if the 251 Convincors' chines are reversed or what? Sorry for my ignorance... and what is your opinions on the advantages and dissadvantages of these chines?
