Choppers

Anyone every run or try a Mercury Chopper on a 2100BR with a 200?
Wondering how it performed.

Do these hulls prefer a thru hub or will a over the hub chopper work just as well?

Thanks

I've found through hub are much better especially getting on plane... each setup is different though. My Trophy Plus w/out PVS plugs in cavitates like a SOB and is terrible. Put some plugs in, g2g. I'd imagine a smaller diameter through hub would not be optimal.

Thinking of trying a 23 trophy plus on it... Should still be low enough pitch to carry a load...

Can't go wrong with a Trophy Plus on these hulls! 23 will carry a load, you *might be able to spin a 24-25. Personally, I'd get a 24P, if it runs a few hundred rpm's low, i'd have it balanced and blueprinted and lightly labbed to pick up the extra r's. If you can run it on the limiter, get it b&b'd and add an inch of pitch. Win/win. You will have a few extra $$'s tied up in it though.

Thanks, today my wife & daughter was on the inflatable and only wanted to go slow. Spent 30 min at 1500 rpm's puttin around listening to tunes and just chillin....
