clean canvas cockpit cover?

Boat has a white canvas cockpit cover that's not soo white anymore... Best/most effective way to clean it?
 
I think I remember Matt posting some info on canvas that he was trying to clean- I'll see if I can find it.

EDIT: I did find the thread but there weren't any results there, don't know how well the white vinegar or rubbing alcohol may have worked.
 
I have used "purple power" concrete degreaser before and it does great. I use that stuff on everything!!! Be careful on poorly painted plastic parts as it can peal paint. It also will remove oxidation from gel coat :bigthumb:
 
I have used "Mean Green" that my wife got at the dollar store.

It cleaned the stains, mildew and dirt out of 25 year old white Mate upholstery that hadn't been touched in 3 years. Best part of it, a half gallon was only a buck.

We used a vinyl conditioner afterward to help soften the material after cleaning.
