Cobra's 1984 Enforcer

THE DOCKING LIGHTS WERE ALREADY INSTALLED WHEN I BOUGHT IT.HOPE TO SEE SOME PICS AND DETAILS OF YOUR BOAT ,NOT TOO MANY OTHER ENFORCER PICS ON THIS SITE.

COBRA . i am a fan of paint when its done right . do you have any complaints with the paintwork ? RISENSHINE !!!!!

BOB SO FAR NO COMPLAINTS ON THE PAINT ON MY BOAT I HAVE ONLY HAD IT SINCE LAST JULY SO THAT MAKES IT ABOUT 3 YEARS OLD FOR THE PAINT.IT HAS HELD UP VERY GOOD NOT SURE WHAT TYPE OF PAINT USED.BOAT IS ALWAYS ON TRAILER AND WASHED EVERY TIME AFTER USE AS I AM IN BRAKISH AND SALT WATER 90% OF THE SEASON.

cobra ,is the entire bottom painted ? can't tell from the picture. roller trailer ? do you use bras on your fenders to not scuff it ?

Great looking Mate , enjoy it as much as possible !

THE ENTIRE BOTTOM HAS BEEN PAINTED AND IT DOES SIT ON A ROLLER TRAILER.THE PAINT HAS COME OFF SLIGHTLY ON THE CENTER OF THE BOAT DUE TO IT BEING BEACHED BY PREVIOUS OWNER I ALWAYS ANCHOR OUT WAIST DEEP WITH AN ANCHOR BOW AND STERN TO NOT MAKE IT ANY WORSE.THE TRAILER DOES LEAVE SCUFF MARKS BUT ARE SO FAR UNDER I DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT.I DO NOT USE FENDER COVERS AND HAVE RECEIVED SOME SCUFFS FROM THAT.THE BOAT DOES HAVE SOME MINOR SCUFFS TROUGHOUT FROM USE BUT THERES NO WAY AROUND IT ,STILL GETS LOTS OF COMPLIMENTS FOR A BOAT 20 YEARS OLD

cobra ,,, amazing how well they hold up.starting the 10th summer for mine . after listening to you guys ,replacing floors and transoms etc ,probably keep mine forever, maybe get it a baby brother with 1 seat someday. beats a jetski any day , enjoy !

cobra, have you replaced your floor yet? I just got done doing mine tonight. It is not a bad job for the do it yourselfer. If you decide to do it yourself, set your circular saw at 5/8" deep at about 3' before the wall in front of the helm. The bottom of the floor actually "touches" the inside top of the hull. Use a good chisle and hammer out the rest. I ALMOST cut through mine!

If you have read or heard horror stories aout doing the floor in a boat, the WORST part is getting the old stuff out. After that, no problem. My floor now will be solid as a rock and out probably out last the windshield! (I used structural repair glass matte on floor.) It really is not a bad project.

I HAVE REMOVED MY ROTTED SECTION OF FLOOR IT GOES ALMOST THE ENTIRE WIDTH OF THE BOAT AND WENT 43" IN DEPTH.I CUT IT OUT ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND I TOO WAS VERY CLOSE TO CUTTING INTO THE HULL AT THE EDGES.THE MAIN STRINGERS ARE FINE BUT THE FOAM ON THE DRIVERS SIDE WAS WATER LOGGED BUT SINCE I OPENED THE FLOOR IT HAS DRIED OUT.DOES ANYONE THINK I SHOULD JUST LEAVE IT IN NOW,OR SHOULD IT BE REPLACED?

Replace it, if you're going to the trouble of the floor, why go halfway? I believe you want a closed cell foam so water will stay out.

I would not worry too much about the paint. Checkmate had a problem with yellow gel fading really quickly and lots of us got sanding duty when they came back to be repainted.

Cool boat.

I FINALLY TRIED OUT MY OTHER PROP LAST WEEK,I WAS RUNNING A SPINALLI 21P GOT 50 GPS @4400RPM ,I PUT ON A MIRAGE PLUS 19P GOT 50 GPS @4650 RPM RECEIVED A BETTER HOLE SHOT AND MID RANGE BUT NO CHANGE ON TOP END I GUESS I AM STUCK WITH A 50 MPH BOAT, ANY SUGGESTIONS?

THERE ACTUALY IS A HOLLEY INTAKE NEVER BOTHERED TO LOOK AT WICH MODEL AND WHEN YOU TAKE THE OIL CAP OFF I CAN SEE ALUMINUM ROLLER ROCKERS.WHEN I BOUGHT THE BOAT I RECEIVED NO INFO ON THE MOTOR ITSELF BUT I AM POSATIVE ITS NOT THE ORIGINAL.MAYBE ITS A LOWER HP MOTOR WITH A FEW BOLT-ONS.IF THE MOTOR EVER LETS GO I MIGHT LOOK INTO A VOTEC 350 THEY SEEM TO BE RATED IN THE 300-315 HP RANGE I KNOW THATS ABOUT MAX WITH MY OUTDRIVE AND IT IS DEFINATLY NOT WORTH RIPPING APART THE DRIVETRAIN TO GO BIGBLOCK /BRAVO AS I MIGHT AS WELL SELL AND BUY ONE THAT CAME WITH IT FROM THE FACTORY.I STILL LOVE THE BOAT EVEN THOUGH ITS A SLOW POKE.

It might be worth your while to find out more about the engine. You never know what might be in there.

Does it have the newer style valve covers with the center bolt pattern? It might be a good piece that needs a little tweaking.
