Tension, let me know what you're doing for seats. I was thinking of popping a mould off of one of those style of seats in the V141 for my 16 footer. If you would let me take a mould off of one that would be cool. It won't wreck the seat.

i had the same boat about 15 years ago, i was 14, the boat was free, it had sunk and a dock crushed the side at low tide, i dragged it home fixed it up, fiberglassed the the entire side back together and paintedit black with this anchient oil based paint, on my fifteenth birthday i was blasting around, i had a 55 chrysler from god knows when, but it too was free and ran like hell. i had a small carb leak under the cover but didn't care, my brother warned me to fix it but i didnt care, i just kept running around the bay, well>>>>>>>> i t blew up into flames at full speed and the oil based paint still wasnt dry and the boat just engulfed, it i dove out and watched runn full speed ahead on fire till it hit a beach and burned to the water line, anyway i wish you better luck with yours, merry christmas

All of us have done stupid things I'm sure. A few years ago my friend and I decided to take the old 10' GW Invader for a trip across the bay in the open ocean about 4 miles offshore. The water was calm enough and I had done it many times before so I wasn't too worried, but by the time we crossed the bay the entire sky was turning black a sudden thunderstorm developed and we found ourselvs dealing with a strong west wind, thunder and lightning, heavy rain and 3'-4' whitecaps that were getting bigger and bigger! I couldnt even keep the boat on plane because waves were splashing over the sides and the boat was nosediving. between the rain and waves Im sure we would have sank if I didnt turn on the bilge pump and take out the plug in the back to drain all the water while we were driving. When we got back to the harbor it was high tide so I just ran the boat full throttle on the beach and thanked god that I didnt sink the boat. Im sure I would have made it out alive even if the boat sank but my father probably would have killed me when he found out that the brand new 25 Evinrude was under about 50' of water! Now I never go out unless I check the weather report first...

Boston,Talk about stupid things that happen. The first week I had my Enticer out this past summer I nearly sank it. I was running in some trash filled water and hit a 2x12 that knocked the plug out. That was way not cool

My boat has no flotation foam. I was standing there looking at the prop and lower unit when I noticed cool water rushing in across my toes.

It's a good thing that you got it out of the water before it sank!

What a nightmare that would have been.
It still blows my mind that a board could knock out the plug. What are the odds?

Funny how I always thought I was being a little anal when I always try to locate the plug so the T handle is horizontal to the back of the boat and not pointing downwards. It sometimes takes me 3-4 tries before I get it perfectly aligned after it is tightened. I never really though it was necessary, but have always done it anyway, after reading this I am glad I do.
