Cost to rebuild 85HP outboard

Say I get that 85HP outboard and it needs a rebuild. What could that run me? Who knows, maybe its going to run perfect.... We'll see....

Not sure but they are pricey. When i had the 2.4 built it was $2000, but that was with mods and a Mod vp cowl.
I would think somewhere around $1500

Save yourself some grief and buy something in perfect running condition. There a tons of deals around in the size you are looking for. Yamaha would be my first choice. Second, is Mercury, lots around and easy to get parts. Pass on the Chrysler!
