Davewr2 72' MX-15 Resto Project!

I'm starting this thread for new member, Davewr2's 1972 MX-15 factory resto project! The boat is at the factory in Bucyrus getting a complete makeover. Once finished, the 1250 will be replaced by a new to him 80s 115 Mercury.

Nice. Just curious: What's wrong with the 1250?

The 1250 was running fine when I took it off. I just need something with a little more umph, power trim, BIA mount for jackplate and something that can put up with salt water a little better; the 1250 is not XK metal.

Nice. Dave, if you don't want it once it's done lmk. This is basically exactly the same project I'm thinking of lining up.

The pic of the hull looking aft is the most important one to me. Notice the knees, bench seat base and transom all tied together. Dean says very little load will be on the transom itself. Ready for jack plate and late 115 Inline!
