Do I have a Convincer?

New to the forum, glad I found it.
Long story short, was more or less given what I think is a ’78 Convincer bow rider. Has the badge by the Port windshield indicating Convincer. But after reading several posts, not sure? It’s powered by a 240 hp 351 Ford w/ OMC out drive. On the hull under the stepladder are: CHK13134M78J. Do I have a ’78 Convincer?
Thanks for the help, lots more posts to follow.

and please forgive my ignorance, is it Convincer, not or? Why two boat lines with different spellings or did something get lost in the translation? How can I learn about the Convincer specs.? Being this old, the boat is a bit beaten up...but runs great!
Also, I need a Port side windshield, cracked, should I post in the parts section?
Thanks,
DGGM-SS

DGGM-SS, Kip can help you with anything you need for parts, just e-mail him or call him, and

DGGM-SS, I also have a 19'8" Convincer. That style boat was only made in 1977 and 1978. The hull is an extended verson of the TriMate IV. In 1979 it was replaced with the Entertainer. The Entertainer is a bowrider verson of the Enchanter.
Here are a few pictures of my '77. Mine has been fully restored except for the seat skins and top gell. I plan to do the seats and clear this spring

I believe the early model was Convincer and then when it was completely changed, they changed the name to Convincor.
