Dose this type of jack plate work?

I have that style on one of my boats, I dont like it. I would go with one of there other models, JPL-4500 or JPL-4550 which are a one piece unit and you can adjust it from the single center screw, its only $50. more. 2 cents

Yeah Coop I belive it is a two piece so I think that I going to go with the one piece for $50 more. Thanks F150GT for the advice.

i have a two pc bob's. its not too bad to lift lower. you have to remember you will only be moving it like 1/2 inch at a time.

It will work of course, but I recommend finding a one piece JP with a single center screw adjustment. My favorites are Detwiler and Slidemaster since they have integrated side plates with zero slop or play. They do have less vertical travel (3.5" and 4") than a CMC, Bob's, Vance, or T-H and usually fetch a few more dollars. But, side by side you can see why.
