Enforcer Info Wanted

Member
Hi Guys, I'm new to your board, but I'm a once and hopefully future Checkmate owner. I'm looking at a 1990 Enforcer, and I was hoping to get some feedback from board members about this model. Anything in particular to look for on these boats?

I used to own a 1990 Strobe with the 350 Mag, and there isn't a week that goes by that I don't kick myself for selling that thing!

I used to own an Enforcer and I'm kicking myself
too for selling it. It was a great/fun boat, would
turn on a dime at full throttle. Make sure its'
got thru-hull exhaust... got to love that sound
with no silencers!! Go for it.

I think I might have been mis-informed on the year of the boat I'm looking at, after checking NADA values I see they didn't list an Enforcer in 1990. What years did Checkmate make the Enforcer?

Also, what's up underneath that long front deck, other than a "play-pen" v-berth?

Riley,I own an 87 Enforcer.Don't hold me to this but I believe they were made between 1983-93.I did notice in the 1990 brochure that its not shown

.It is in the 1991 brochure though

.I don't know whats up with that

.The cuddy is basically a "play-pen" but its cool. There is room for a couple to sleep in there if desired. There is a spot for a porta-john too.I haven't seen a lot for sale but the 90's models look good. Its a solid hull but what I noticed on the older models is the deck (over the cuddy) isn't supported well and flexes when your blasting across the lake. This action creates cracks along the grab rail area. The newer models have a support to eliminate the problem.A 260 hp was standard, but I like the big blocks with 4" exhaust

!Good Luck!
