So tonight I took my boat off the slip and onto the trailer. right after starting the boat an alarm starting going off. Beep. Beep beep..... about every 3 seconds. Never done this before. I have a 99 zt240 with 454 mpi. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance.

Not really sure, but maybe it has an overheat or over temp alarm. Did you happen to look at your temperature gauge when it was beeping and see what the temperature was reading. I'm sure someone else on the forum will have a better idea. Jim

Drive oil alarm, check your reservoir

Besides Drive Lube....Oil Pressure, Overheat, or engine sensor fault will also sound the horn with the same Beep 1 second ON, 3 second OFF, 1 second ON repeat below around 3000 rpms. If lube bottle ok, no overheat and good oil pressure, you'll have to get codes pulled to see what sensor is causing problem
