 Hello Fellow Checkmaters!!!

I am getting ready to paint the mid and lower sections of my Johnson. I have sandblasted the parts and purchased aluminum primer.
Suggestions for paint?????
I was planning on a base coat/clear coat, a mid range quality, not a PPG.(then again I might do PPG!!)
I do want this to last and be durable. Is there a specific paint for this.
THANKS for any/all suggestions....:cheers

Find out what the manufacturers are using, and then get the same kind of paint in whatever color you're going to spray it. I don't know what they use.
how about just polishing it??

you will need something designed for the job, i've seen more paint come off lower units and props. i believe the factory bakes the paint on. i don't know if you have the capability to do that in your shop, that should help.

omc posted there process on how to do this process, and which products to use.. dang if i can find it now.. but i'm sure someone else on the board knows what i'm talking about.. its a 2 day love affair, but it sticks and sticks good
