Thank you, Sammie. I live 25 minutes from the Golden Nugget and had plans to go Saturday and Sunday. I was even thinking about helping out they had a request on their web site.

Long story short...lots of work travel got me home late Friday and the wife had to work the weekend. So I took care of the house and things and did not make it out to the race. I hope they have the race there again next year.

OPA tried this a couple years ago and had to cancel due to very poor water conditions on race day. Great group of people and very approachable to tell you somethings about their boats and get autographs.

Glad to see they got a race off. I went down a couple of years ago and there was 10 ft swells in the inlet. Ended up canceling it. I wanted to go down this year but no boat. Will have to try on home computer to see the race. Thanks for the post.
