Enticer on the Water

Vandalizer

Well-known member
A couple quick pics on Blind Lake yesterday. I also drove by another Checkmate in between Watson and Patterson Lake- anyone from the forum? I didn't realize it was a Check until after I was already past.

Thanks!

I'm real happy with it. It does need some work to clear up some slight oxidation. But thanks to all the metal flake, you can't tell in the sun.

Can you get your rig up to full speed out there?
Right now it doesn't look like I'll be able to make it out this weekend- if anything changes I'll keep my eyes peeled for ya.

I'm only spinning a 21p so its gets spooled up pretty quick, I get in good hards run over on halfmoon.

Be over on bruin sat with about 6 or 7 neices and nephews so I'll be going around in circles all day with tube and maybe a little time at the sandbar for me.

Nice

If my Enticer had been that nice I'd still have it. Its great to see a 1981 Mate that has been that well taken care of. Outstanding boat, if you ever post for "Boat of the Month" you have my vote.

A Gatormate in Tampa, Doug:cheers

Nothing sparkles in the sun like metalflake. Same colors as my Convincer but your's looks a lot more shiny. If you've got some oxidation, I recommend aqua buff, stuff does wonders.

Thanks for the comments!

I'd really like to get aqua buff results, but it'd be great if I could do it by hand instead of using a wheel- the tight contours on the top side of the boat and the rails make it really difficult to wheel. I'd heard rumor of a product called (maybe) zing that's supposed to strip a thin layer of gelcoat off without buffing or sanding, but I haven't heard it thrown around on this board at all.

I've also read of guys using Flitz with good results. Its not too hard to take the rails off, just a pain to get under to all the little nylon nuts. Makes a good spring project once the weather starts to warm and before the season really starts.
