Enticer Repower?

That 200 looks like it has the OLD clamp bracket on it with the external trim pump. I'ed pass on it.

Plus, when an engine gets layed on its side like that, its usually junk. No one just lays out a good running engine and leaves it outside.

Thanks for the input guys- reinforced my original thoughts. Anyone know whether a 175 can easily be converted into a 200????

Am sure it is not much to make a 200 out of a 175. But if you have a good 175 lined up you should just go for it and get used to it on your boat and then worry about getting more power later.

I totally agree... just nice to know that there is an easy option for doing that in the future. And since it's the same motor otherwise, there shouldn't be any added stress (less reliability) for adding the power.

Gotta be a sticking point in everything I guess....
The 175 doesn't have controls, and is setup for single cable steering.
I can't remember where everything terminates on my 115 coming from the controls, but will my current controls work with the 175?? I have to imagine they will. I'm planning to get a hot foot, solid motor mounts, and possibly seastar pro steering. Anyone know the cheapest routes for these?

Here's another thought...
Right now I'm spinning my 20p LaserII to 5900 with the motor on the transom at stock height. If I add the Bobs convertible plate ($260) and hydraulic steering ($470), any guesses whether I'd be able to spin a 24p up to 5800??

Easiest way to go faster is get a 200. You will not be able to buy a faster boat for what a 200 would cost ya. Your boat is SUPER clean, repower and run it. Also there have been "stories" about upgrading a 175 to a 200, but I think they are false. The compression in the two motors is different, so they have something different internally.

Plain and simple get a 200.

Thanks.
I'm keeping my eyes open, nothing amazing or too good to pass up yet. That'd be one good thing about the setup I described above- once I have it like that it'd be cake to swap the 200 in, and I'm sure I can get more out of her while I'm looking for a great 200.
If only I would have jumped on the 200 that Enticer1 sold!
