Even though I own an older Johnson, I don't think there is any better looking outboard than the old Merc Tower of Power.

The only problem I have is the digital steering. Too many things to go wrong that can leave you stranded. Wiring issue, helm problem, control module problem, hydraulic pump problem, etc. I do like the ability to get custom colors for the cowl. I've even matched up a set the goes perfectly with the light and dark blues on my Enchanter.

I had a few 200efi Mercs that never cost me a dime for repairs and a couple Johnson's back in the day. And I know for a fact your itching to get a big nasty BBC . See how that works .

My brother was at the FLW fishing tournament earlier today. He sent me these pictures of the new Evinrude and said that the motor looks a lot better in person. The motor is on a Ranger bass boat.

It is power assist steering and will still steer hydraulically without power.
