FADED BLUES

I AM LOOKING FOR SOME TIPS THAT WOULD POSSIBLY BRING BACK THE FADED TWO COLORS ON THE BOTTOM WATER LINE ON A 93 CHECKMATE.THE BASE COLOR ON THE BOAT IS WHITE WITH TWO ACCENT COLORS OF BLUE AND MAGENTA.I HAVE TRIED TO BUFF IT OUT FOR COLOR BRIGHTNESS,BUT IT SEEMS LIKE THE COLOR PIGMENT IS GONE, COLOR SANDING BEFORE HAND ALSO DID NOT WORK.IT COULD BE REPAINTED OR RE-JEL COATED BUT I DON'T WANT TO END UP WITH A PAINT LINE THAT WOULD ENTAIL CLEAR COATING THE WHOLE SIDE OF THE BOAT.(ANY SUGGESTIONS)
THX CHECKMASTER

CLR

There is a post on here, somewhere, that someone wasasking a similiar question, and an interesting answer was to use a product called CLR. Home depot, and I'm sure your local wally world or grocery chain carries it. The post stated that using full strength on a wash cloth would restore faded boats back to a miraculous shine. I found the post interesting, 'cause anything would be better than the shine on my boat. Someone may have some other ideas. Testing a small area couldn't hurt. If there is one thing I have learned, 'There is more than one way to skin a cat.' No cats were harmed during this post...

I had forgotten about the aqua buff, i've seen a few posts on it a s well, but I never really read them 'cause I'm still on the interior stage.

If you cant wetsand, compound & polish it out then you probably will have to regel or repaint. I would not recomend repainting if it sits in the water... ;) Jamie / Lakeside

There is some kind of mild acid out there that is perfect for this application i forget what it is called though...I will search.
