Finally Got it on the water!

Don't try different props. You need more setback with a hyd. jackplate. 12" to 14" of setback with your Trophy Plus 27 should yield you 75mph+ with your Pro XB 250. You could also send your Trophy Plus out for lab finishing to yield some more rpm.

I'm not a big believer in needing that much set back. My nose heavy Starliner runs 75 with a 250 EFI, a 24 Trophy, and 5.5 inches of set back and tapped the limiter a couple of times. I might pick up one or two mph with more set back but for me I'll take less stress on the transom and better low speed manners for skiing and tubing.

Im not sure if i want to add any more setback. It pourpoises pretty bad anything under 40, and i think it lifts the bow more than enough.. its got a lot of weight hanging back there! Going to try a 26 trophy and go from there. Ill be happy with 75.
Thanks for the comments!

my Pulse 210 open bow with a 250 yammy Vmax ran 73-75 almost any day of the week and bested 77 on gps on a cool day with a 6" wind chop. it had 10" of setback and running the motor as high as it could be without running out of water pressure. Dont remember for sure but I think I was at about 1-2" below the pad. The Vmax has a different case than your XB so it will be a different setup but mine actually ran better all around and slightly faster with a Bravo 1 prop over a Trophy. Your XB should have more power than the Vmax so I would think you would be able to be in the upper 70's no problem setup right!
