So my fiancee and I took the day off on Wednesday to go to the lake for the day. We were 4 miles from the lake when the LF wheel bearing on my trailer came apart. We spent all morning driving the truck back and forth between the lake and the small town to buy bearings/borrow tools/etc. and in the end I had to limp the trailer back to the town and leave it at the repair place....we never even saw the water.

So Friday a co-worker and I left early and headed from Tucson to Phoenix and then Apache Junction to pickup my boat/trailer. We had about 2 hours of daylight to work with and it was 30 min to the lake so we only had about 45 min on the water but it was worth it. The boat ran great and my co-worker who comes from a family history with big/fast boats was impressed with my setup. He was hiding grins each time I cracked the throttle open on the V8 eggbeater. ;)

Canyon Lake, AZ.

The fiancee's Tacoma (my Powerstroke is still down for the count) did a great job towing.

I only brought the small prop so we only got up to the low 70's today. I don't like spinning the RPM up too high for top speed runs with the 24p. Next time I hope to have my adjustable exhaust flap finished so I can get up on plane with the 29p chopper and see some high mph.

I won't be using the Tacoma when the Sea-Doo is on the trailer. That's what the Super Duty is for. ;)

Do you have any close ups of the transom with the V8? I always wanted to put one on mine and was talked out of it by my rigger. He said at the time it was too much weight and no way to tie bar the transom on my year.
