front steering tube merc

pounded the old seized steering out of the tilt tube; bought new helm and cables, and sheared the front tube off at the nut...just I thought I saw light at the end of the tunnel.

Someone please tell me have a steering tube that'll work for me....

What do you need exactly? I have a few parts Merc V-6's laying around.
 
Thanks for your reply...I can text or email you a pic of my particular setup, as I know they've changed a little over the years.

Honestly I'm contemplating abandoning my transom mount, tilt, brscketry and steering for a later model, It's a mid 80s setup and the steering arm makes me a bit nervous, it's long and slender and I'm worried about breakage

Either way I'd be grateful to see what you have.
