Does any one have any good tips on fixing gelcoat crack. I have a small crack where the gel coat flakes off about a quater of an inch size. The color of the coat is blue, whats the best methode to fix this up. I have seen these gel coat repair kits with color matching pigment are they any good?

thanx

The kits work fine, but it can be pretty tough coming up with the right pigment combination needed to match your existing color. Which blue do you have(sky blue?).

If you had sky blue, I could have told you what pre mixed color from Fiberglass Coatings Inc. was equivalent (I had it colormatched). Sorry I can't help with your blue. Like I said, you can get pretty close, but it's tough to get an exact match.
