I put a 22 pitch Raker prop on the enticer the other day. At 5900 RPM I'm hitting just short of 60 MPH on the GPS. Ive heard Rakers did provide some bow lift but seriously its like the whole boat is out of the water and its brutally hard to control at that speed.Its chine walking all over the place and the only reason I know how fast I was going it because I've got the GPS set to auto record. I don't dare look down. Is there anything I can do to make it a little more stable at that speed or do I just need to slow the F___ down?
 
Got a couple of Rakers for my Liner, I love them. Maybe some setback or raise the engine some? If I bury my prop and trim it out it gets flighty but its not as bad as you're describing.
 
i raised my engine up as high as it would go.scared the f--k out of me ..i didnt like it.would love to try a raker prop.

I am for now. I bought a "new" 22 pitch Raker and it came in last week. Problem was it wasnt new. Not even close to it. It looks to have been rebuilt and used extensively afterwards. I tried it out and it runs good but its going back. I have a 23 pitch renegade coming in and if it does what its supposed to I'll stick with that. Otherwise I'll pick up a 24 pitch Raker. The new 140 has more top end than I thought it would and needs more prop.
 
I have a 25 Renegade I was thinking of selling but I don't think a V6 prop will fit the 4.

Not sure if trim tabs are the answer or a band aid. The raker prop is designed to give bow lift in an attempt to get the boat up on the pad. Trim tabs are going to somewhat push the bow back down. So now you have the motor fighting to get the bow up and the trim tabs dragging you back down.

That's just my two cents. The previous owner of my hull had installed some land and sea step and jack trim tabs. I left the mounting hardware on and removed the tabs. I've never ran the boat with them on. My predictor is in the 60's and flys straight as a arrow.
