"Wanted" Good-Big outboard needed!

HELP!!! I lost a cylinder in my 89 evenrude 200
I am looking for a power head or a newer bigger motor..
Its on a starliner. I found a 88 300gt Johnson but thought
it may be to big and heavy. ANYONE WITH ANY THOUGHTS.
I need that speed thing

The V-8 is huge, compared to my V-6.
Will I pickup more top end with that V-8
Anyone have one on a starliner-open bow?

rob-z has a big v8 on his starflite and the thing flies!!!!! the hull of your boat should be the same as his! probley a bad idea with a jackplate though!

You will love the V8 It has great tourque and top end. I have a 300GT on my boat. You wont beleive how many heads will turn as that thing comes screaming by.
