very long story short,,,,,,at anytime they can crack and dump water into the cylinder. hence the reason for purchasing the hardin hurricane lite replacements. i don't want to take the risk.

And as they say...When the wife is Happy you are happy!!! Not to mention you know that she is happy when she paints her toe nails to match the color of the air cleaner cover on your boat engine.
You got that right! Funny thing is she has been crazy about blue forever. This is how I sold her on our last boat ('87 diplomat) it was a beautiful blue with metal flake. This one however she actually found and fell in love with it immediately. I looked at how many boats?? and she kept goin back to this one. I finally gave in and pursued it. Poor me right?

I still think it sux that Mercury hasn't out and out fixed the 525 header issues. But sounds like you got things goin your way. Congrats again, that is one super sweet ride.
