HELP WTH SET UP on 72 MX-15

hi got the new 21 pich prop on (NOT SS)2 new extras came with boat not sure what had on it first run couldnt find # but tack 6g's at 3/4 T and porpoised bad but was a wild ride up to the 55 or so mark!!! any way have a 21 on it and boat floats wicked andstill prpoises not as bad motor trimed all the way down to second hole from having to pull trim stop pin. motor sets with cav plate just at bottom of boat. Should i lift te motor up or drop it a hole? i wantths boat to pus the 60MPH markit has aid 80 115 on in no jack plate or cav fin would that help? also boat hd bennet trim tabs but did not work always up was goig to get some smart tabs as boat is so light ddnt want to e messing al te time onc wot all hlp much appreciated gettin pics of it today first sunny day sincemotor install and new rainbow pearl metalic house of kolors paint job
 
mx-15 setup years ago

Most of the ones that handled well where I ran my boat, had short shaft ( 140 and later 150) engines, tabs and dual ride guide steering. The only one I saw with a long shaft was not very quick and chine walked all over the place. Even with everything right the boat was a hand full. Checkmate raced similar boats in OPC races around this time ( I think )

thanks for the info I have telflex steering and will be putting tabs on but wanted to see if anyone has used the smart tabs? this boat with the 115 seems to steer easieer now than with the 70 hrs always pulled bad to the right(side i sit on) but of course with the 115 the whole boat seems to be floating on air have ony tried it one trip just to play now need day to work on the set up running a 21 pitch prop 3 blade any thoughts on different prop?
