I'm not a new member but I haven't visited the site dedicated to THE best boats in a long time so I figured this was the right place to post. I still have my Starflite with the big motor and hope to get the hull wet this year at some point (haven't had it out in far too long......).

Anyway I hope everyone is getting ready for boating season if you haven't started already.

Yeah, end of August to help my parents close up for the year.


No, did not get anywhere near 86 with the 225, mid to high 60's. The V8 has more than 86 in it but I don't. ;) It was revving ~6300 on that 86mph pass.

What is your setup? Setback, prop type, height? We ran my starliner with 250 pro xs Sunday got to the mid 70's which was 10 mph faster than the 88 evinrude 225.
