I don't know how many of you are close to rochester, and i am new to the group, but i was wondering how many of you would be up for an end of the season party? this way we could meet each other or even start our owen local chapter so to speak? see what each other has planed for winter work on the mates and i would like to plan a summer meet if posable? all let me know what you think and well see if we can all put our heads together. we should be half way there already, we have checkmates!!!!
 
Sounds like a good idea to me,I love to talk boats and drink beer, its a long winter. I'm running a Brown and Gold Enchanter with a Pro-V Yamaha and live in Fairport.There are some pics of it in picture this a few pages back.

I'm a couple hours south of you, Elmira to be exact. I dunno about making it up to Rochester any time soon, but if you plan on doin any boating on Seneca Lake next season I'd cruise with ya!! I know theres alot of Michigan boaters here but us Upstate N.Y. guy's are growin everyday! I've said it a million times now, we gotta get a Checkmate party together on one of the Finger Lakes next season, maybe make it an annual thing!!
 
Yeah that sounds good, I'm alittle ways away but I'll drive, keep me posted, O yeah the beer sounds good too....

I'm over in Victor and would definetly be interested in a get together on one of the finger lakes next summer. We attended the "after party" for the seneca powerboat poker run last year and had a blast (ended up having to stay on the boat). Its a great time you should check that out. Count me in, can't wait until summer. Anyone ride sleds?

Vance, the Seneca Runs would be a great way to get together and support a charity at the same time. Yeah, I'm a serious sled-head. Retired from snocross racing last year. Converted my 800 mod to a trail sled and will run that again this year. Might be headed up to Tug Hill this weekend, forecast says up to two feet. Trails not open, but can run seasonal roads.
 
I'm from auburn area and would like to get together some time to talk about the summer and a plan to have a mate-run. Allways looking for friends to boat with. Don't mind drinking a few beers also!

You wouldn't happen to be Kelly O'Hara (sp) would you? I raced sno X for about 5 years too. Gave it up about 3yrs ago. Vance Hagen #197, raced big east and some RMR. My sister Colleen Hagen (now colleen clar) and bro. in law Wade clar raced as well, i think he was #777. what are u running for a mate?

Yup, you caught me! I never got to know you, but enjoyed spending time with Wade and Colleen. Wade is a serious motorhead. Someday I will run as quick as his Eliminator. Did he break 110mph yet? I got a ZT 280 this fall with a Procharged 540. Runs real nice. We need to do this NY Checkmate gathering, I know we have a loy of fun nice people here.
 
The Syracuse boat show is still a ways off, but would be a good central location to get together and go poke fun at all the generic runabouts. We could meet up there, see the show and grab some dinner afterwards.

SORRY, I HAVE'NT BEEN ONLINE LATELY. THE SYRACUSE SHOW WOULD BE COOL TO MEET UP WITH ALL OF YOU NYers, BUT IM NOT APPOSED TO A BEER, POKER, TRASH TALKING NIGHT FOR US ALL BEFORE THEN. ANY ONE WANT TO GO OUT ON A LIMB AND SET A TIME AND PLACES FOR A FEW SODA POPS AND SOME GOOD BOATING TALK? THIS SATERDAY NIGHT IS OK WITH ME, ANY ONE HAVE A PLACE IN MIND?
 
It's the Holliday party season, I have a Christmass party to go to Saturday. Probably wont have much time untill after the New Year.

Hello new york boaters and all other fans of the checkmates, im in lake carmel ny and run a 74 trv 16 with a v 4 looper runs 59 gps but i think i have plenty of room to go, the motor is only one hole up, and im running a 21" hustler prop, i figure with a jackplate and a hosswheel, or equivalent i will see high 60'S no?
