History of the Convincor, anyone?

I'm looking for some short History info on the offshore boats that Checkmate made. I have looked through all the brochures here but seems most of them leave out the bigger boats. Specifically:

What years were the larger offshore boats started in a consumer model, Convincor, Maxium, etc?

What year did they go to the rounded windshields and new body style?

What sizes did these boats come?

What trim levels, 251, GTX, etc and what's the differences?

If this has been done already please point me to a link. I'm trying to decide on my next boat, actually my second boat (I'll probably never sell my Starliner, but I want a big boat for the bay and future Checkmate Poker Runs ;-).

I'm leaning towards an early Convincor 251 (I prefer the early styling) so if possible could someone tell me what I should pay for one of these? I noticed the 1983 in the Buy/Sell section for 14,500, is that the normal price range for a good boat? I'm also looking for one I can do some custom paint work on so gel condition won't be critical. I love this boat:

and I wish I had the cash for it today. Is $35,000 high for this? It does have some major power

Thanks in advance as usual,

I will have my 89 checkmate for sale at a great price already redone. Its got the old school look with all the new cool stuff. Its cool because if I dock next to a new Checkmate(witch is cool an all)I get all the looks and questions. I'm from New Jersey so I'm not that far from you.

Towards the end of the season it will be up for sale. I'm looking to get a 28 Pantera. I have more pictures and I will send them soon. I'm racin this weekend so I wont be around.
You cant build a custom for close to what I'm selling this boat at. Its a 502 efi turn key. Custom paint, House of color Candy red and pearl tangerine, all rails removed, side windows removed and windshield removed to get that muscle boat look. Custom interior with graphics on the hatch, Checkmate imbodered in the front seats. Livosi Gauges with Gps. and candy trim rings, Candy red wheel. New carpet. New billet Eddie Marine trim tabs. Through haul exhaust. The engine and drive have less then 40 hours on them. I never had a more dependable solid built boat then this Checkmate.
