How long before engine falls off?

Nah. If you leave it(the vessel) outside in the rain/sun/snow for extended periods, underneath the right kind of trees, the combination of dry rot/moisture/mold/mildew/moss/painters caulk/beer/lunch residue/leaves and pine needles, can and might combine under the right conditions (blue tarp) to bond that motor to the thin air located in between the hull and motor. The torque coefficient and maybe a little osmosis from the motor pushing up against the after part of whats left of the hull plus the engine wiring and steering/throttle cables, are helping too. The aluminum plate might extend most of the way forward too. I'm gonna send this gentleman (or as Sim would say, 'dis guy') the price list for the gen-u-ine "Jimway Engine Recovery Kit". Might come in handy, you never know...

Did you see the custom diamond plate transom reinforcement he has on there? Probably not going to blow apart but if it does... makes for a good story.

When I saw it I couldn't believe it! How that thing keeps going is beyond me. I think he needs a little more then the custom plates he has on there.

Maybe it's already sunk, that video was posted over 2 years ago (and someone just put a comment up yesterday).

I put the comment up when I found the video. Been watching a lot of boat videos lately. I know it's old but well worth the share.

and to think

I was worried about my transom after I rebuilt it with 3 - 3/4" layers of plywood epoxied into place... Maybe I need a gopro to see if it is flexing because I don't have any diamond plate reinforcements on mine.

Thats impressive! Also impressive that the motor still runs! I dont know much about johnnyrudes but i know if you run a Merc with the front of the air box removed they lean out unless you rejet them for it!
