How many miles do you run in a day of boating?

Anywhere from 1 to 50 miles, depends on the day, sometimes we just drive out of the creek and float, other times we give er' I know that the first summer I had the Eluder I burnt $2400.00 in fuel, at WOT I'm sure I can drain my 21 gal tank in under and hour.

This year so far I've put in 35 bucks :shakehead:

been too busy getting the yard at home developed and when we are at the lake I've been spending all my time getting Dad's boat lift set up, that will be done this weekend and then it's time to burn some gas :D

Somedays when just go to sandbar on Madison lakes maybe use 3 gallons. Now if go to Wisconsin river/lake I tend to go through at least 10 gallons or more there. Lots more areas to go WOT.

If you lay off the throttle you can get some pretty good numbers on a Mate. When my wife is with me she likes to be able to actually see the scenery go by and I never open it up.

With my 200 EFI we did a leisurely 100 mile run at 35 MPH on Lake of the Woods from Canada into the USA and burned 25 gallons. 4 MPG. Last year with my 250 Etec the same run was 4.6 MPG.

When I go out by myself and rip it I burn twice the fuel.

I usually put on 2-3 hrs of engine time each time out, but never really thought about miles traveled.

Got mine out the other day and ran apx. 25 miles, (first time in a season and a half, thank you) nothing over 5,000 (bolt holding foot troddle backout far enough to stop movement.) with a lot of idol time just chuking and relaxing. Remembering I have a that prehistoric dinosaur they call a 93' carbed Mercury 245 with 2 yr old plugs (very plug sensative) I replaced 12 gals of prem fuel. Thats 2 mpg at under 50 mph. That thing likes to burn through plenty of its dead cousins. I see a lot of anchor time in my future, thats ok my achoring buddy went from a 20 ftr to a 32 ftr out on the Bay!:thumb:
