With 10 years of snowmobiling under my belt, a two stroke should have, at bare minimum, 100 psi compression. I don't know if this follows over to outboards though. I figure a two stroke os a two stroke no matter what operation it is doing. Sled, Boat, Dirt bike, ATV...etc. Two strokes are trickey though. I have seen sleds with enough compression to run BUT, were BLOWN UP!! Full compression, good plugs, just "down a cylinder." I agree totally with Erik, rebuild it now before it costs more!

yess but the only probleme is that I am 800 milles away , I would like to know if it is worth going to see or not ?
thans to all that reply's

There is a fresh 2.4 260hp bridgeport 4 sale over at scream and fly. I think the price was $4500 for a complete motor.
