How to post pictures

Send it to Chris.(His name is in gold lettering in the forum column.)

Also, if you have Sympatico, you have your own personal webspace. You use a FTP Program to upload tha pics. If the images are already on a website, you right click the image and click properties. You then copy the image URL, come back here and click the picture button. You then paste the link into there and voila. Still confused? I'll show you what I do to post one my way. If they are not on a site, or you cannot upload them yourself, do what Erik said...

Here is the image URL I got from my site when Bill send me his ZT pics. I uploaded them using my FTP Program so they were officially on my personal webspace.

You take this except put in in the image box. Sorry I just want to make it as simple as possible. You could even send them to me if you wanted, and I'd get them up, but its not exactly my job, I am just really good at it...

And as you can see if the pics are too big they cause the message board to scroll.

So the best size for the pictures is no more than 665 pixels wide, that seems to work best for the majority of users.

Sending this over to board feedback.

Yeah, I sorta noticed that when I posted it. Is there any way for us to make them smaller ourselves and does not require much work?

I use Microsoft Photo editor. When I click on a picture it usually opens with Windows Picture and Fax viewer. At the bottom there is an icon which is an edit button. When I click on the icon it automatically opens the picture in Microsoft Photo editor and then you just resize it.

I think paint works too though...you open it in paint and then go to image....stretch/skew and then you have to resize it by percentages.

Hope that helps.

Z, try to make it 665 Pixels wide by whatever length. The length doesn't really matter as long as you don't distort the picture by altering the or Length/Width in unequal percentages.

The way is adjust pictures is:
if I neeed to reduce by 50% then reduce length and width by 50% at the same time...therefore no wierd looking proportions....If thats not small enough do it 50% again..or 25% or whatever you need ...the key is do bothlength and width at the same time....Once you get a picture shrunk to the size you need write down the pixels...so you can reduce to that size easily next time....

as stated in the above replys 665 pixels wide seems to work best for this board....

hope this helps someone

Paint is not the greatest program to edit pictures with, Microsoft Photo editor is better. And programs like Adobe are the absolute best.

Z, attributes tells you the size in pixels. Then you stretch or sku it by a percentage. Paint basically sucks for editing photos, but you can get the job done using it.
