HYDRAULIC STEERING

looking to add a 10'' jp to my pulse185, I realize I need to extend my steering cables so I might as well look into up grading......what is a decent set up and how much $$$$$ am I looking at ?

Sea Star Pro-Hydraulic by Teleflex. (w/6345 ram if you're really serious and have engine/speeds to dictate)

Whole system including hoses, helm, and ram will run you about $1000 w/5345 ram, $1200 w/6345 ram.

There's a guy on S&F, ewansrc, who put a whole system with 5 hrs run time up for sale for $800 under Misc Items on 10/29. ($650-$700 would probably be more like it)
If I could post a link, I would. Just don't know how.

Most likely won't last long, though, as these seem to go quick.

Thanks for the info MKHAMMER, I went on your site and browsed through and noticed you had a section for jack plates but none on line? who,s do you sell? I will do research on the steering info you gave me.
I need to put a budget together for all my needs as I just did full canvas and I am ordering a complete interior from Mike at CM in a few weeks so as you can see I will be spending a few dollars and need to be carefull!

I have a few different jackplates, we are in the middle of updating the site. I can send you that info I will do so I have another member who wants some pricing too.

I just put Sea Star Pro-Hydraulic on my Eluder and it was $1600 installed, not sure how much of that was labor, that's canadian prices too. We all know stuff is cheaper in the US.... It's a must have though, wouldn't own a boat that's faster than 50mph without it, I put mine on before I even tried it. I also put on a hydraulic jack at same time.

You can order a complete interior from CM? I didn't know that, mine should last a few years but I would be interested in that, must be alot of $$$$$ though?

actually, from what i have read, they seem quite reasonable, my experiance with local vinyl shops is that they charge far too much, for barely passable work. i wouldn't think twice about ordering from the factory.

CM interiors

oh yeah....this is the only way too go guys. Mike at CM has sent me samples of this years color choices and he said that they still have the templates for most boats, no more plywood they use the new "plastic board" and it won,t rot !
I priced a complete job here in Toronto and I was around $3000 installed, CM gives you new seats and basis with your choice of 3 colors all together for around $2100 US complete, that means undo the nuts and bolts from all the basis on the floor , pull the seats off the posts and put the new ones in ! and you get the Checkmate fit and quality as well. And this price is for a BOWRIDER
If you want a price call Mike at CM, He,s a great guy to deal with

Jackplates and steering

I have some jackplates on my website, CNC.
http://www.mkhammer.com/store/home.php?cat=2902
I also sell Marine Tech and Bob's jackplates.
They should all be added to yhe site at this link by the end of next week, I can discount them from there.
I also sell Sea Star steering I can give Forum member discounts.
I will post more info soon.

Thanks MK, I checked out your site and I did not see a 10" manual jp on it ? are you able to get them?
I have been checking prices all over the States and it seems that aside from the $ exchange most stuff ends up costing double for me by the time it hits my doorstep! for example.....10" CMC @ $249us = $311 can +$152 shipping+ 15% taxes + $43 for bonding blah blah blah. so as you can see it gets real costley and frustrating ! and it makes me mad.
Please keep me informed and if you know a cheap way to get stuff here I,m all ears

I sell all CMC products, we are adding much more next week. Marine tech has some nice stuff and Bob's, We are doing a major web overhaul this winter and trying to get the cost down.
I will get you a price on a CMC 61012 10"set back 5-1/2" adjustment and all 10" set back manual jacks I have.
As far as shipping goes I have customers in Canada I get the cost down so they can afford it. I know shipping can kill a lot of deals, I obsorb what I can to make it happen.
