Where do the ends of the hoses go. Is there a bottle holder somewhere. Sure looks like a bar dispenser of some sort. Searching the major search engine's did not turn up much.

I don't think it's a dispenser. What would you do, push the botton and run somewhere else to dispense the drink? Or am I missing where this thing dispenses in the pics.

My guess it's for the cuddy lights or something.

Looks like a push button selector in the one picture. The part that is being lifted is where the tasty beverage comes out.

Hey guys,
Glad I could lend a hand in a mystery. The hoses start in a cubby hole and they are just dangling there. I have the front off of the cubby hole but it has a door. That is where the passenger sits (at about knee level). Then the hose go up (neatly placed) to the Thomas Electronic Corp. box and then they come out of there and are zip tied to the front of the opening where you see me holding it out. And the hoses are on the leading edge of the door. Right where my finger is at. The buttons do correspond to each set of hoses at the top. I am not sure if it has anything to do with the lighting as there is only two little lamps in each corner of the cabin. And they have controls on each of them. Plus both ends of the clear tubes are open. I am going to take it out of the boat and see if I can get it to work. I put a fuse in it but nothing happens. I really am hoping that it is a wet bar of some sort. If not it has at least given me the idea to put one in. Now all I will need to do is make the cubby hole hold ice so that it keeps my drinks cold.

I will try and call that Thomas&Betts today and see if I get lucky. It does have a model number on it. It is model 230!

Well thanks for all the help so far I am glad I could bring a little excitement for my first post!! Heh heh!!

Boy, what a mystery!
At first I thought it was vacuum switches for lights or ventilation for the cabin. But A liquid dispenser would be cool.......If it's a liquid despenser I wonder if it would be Coast Guard approved

Thomas and Betts manufactures connectors and supplies for commercial electrical and cable TV companies. They made the coaxial cable connectors for all of the mainline cable we used at a cable company I used to work for. I doubt they make any consumer level small electric devices.

I hope someone figures it out, because I'm like Boatman....I'm about to lose sleep over this! I'm with you though Siddhi, I plan on making one too. I want to make it with a timed on/off switch for two seperate pumps where it will make a perfect martini every time! You could probably build the system in a cooler with a cigarette lighter plug where it would be portable.

I believe what you have are air actuated switches. Follow the wiring from the air switch box and that should show what is controlled by the remote switches. Possibly bilge pump, running lights, anchor light, fuel pump, ventilation fan, etc.?

I suspect the knife sort of lever at the control panel probably pushes air to actuate the electrical switches (relays) dependent on the push button positions. My question is why there are six push buttons and only five interconnecting air hoses?

Steve :-)

i thought of the air switch theory but theres not enough electrical wiring in there to control five different things. besides that jackknife looking device on the button panel doesnt look as if it would control anything.

we really need to see the inside of the larger box. actually both of them.

hey boatn70, i was thinking the same thing.

i am pretty sure the lines go right up to the lil door thing that he is lifting with his finger. the lines are tied together at the ends. you would just push the button for your flavor of choice and hold your glass under the opening. instant coctail.

you can obviously tell there was liquid in those lines. the other end would have gone into the bottle of rum.

what do ya think???

if anyone was thinking of putting something like this in a boat, i have the solution.

a few years back a buddy of mine lived on a golf course. he had his own kart. we rigged a brand new washer slavent resevior with pump inside a small cooler on the back. i ran the 1/4 lline up to the front. put a switch on the dash and BOOM instant fun.

i would think this would work on a boat as well. you have to keep it rinsed out after every use. otherwise your 1/4 line will get all yucky inside.
