I HAD NO IDEA THAT THEIR WAS OTHER PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT THOUGHT CHECKMATE WAS THE ONLY BOAT EVER MADE. I MYSELF AM A PROUD OWNER OF A 1984 AMBASADOR. WE HAVE HAD THE BOAT FOR THE LAST 23 YEARS OF ITS LIFE AND HAVE LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

Growing up here in michigan, Boating only ment 1 thing to me.And that was Checkmate with a big ole' Merc hanging off the back. Well it took a few yrs but I finally got what I wanted and now after 13 seasons with the Starflite with a 2.5 245hp merc I still can't get enough!!!:surf:

I just purchased an 84, 24 ft Convincor myself. I,m looking forward to upgrading the interior and cleaning it up. I hope some of the people on this site can give me some info on where I can locate some side decals and such. Chris if you read this I need a good picture of an engine compartment. My boat is missing the storage box to the right of the engine. I'd like to see what it looks like so I can build a new one.

Thank's

You can get replacement Checkmate decals from Checkmate themselves. Call and ask for Mike Combs. He'll fix you up. I think mine were around $30.00 for the pair.
