I know its not a Checkmate but...

That's a Glastron Carlson CVX-16, a sweet little boat. It's actually 16'7" if memory serves correctly. I owned a 1977 model of this boat w/o the windshield. It's a pad hull, plans fast, run fast, and corners nice and hard. You'll be very pleased if you put a 115 hp Yamaha 2-stroke V4 on it. You can still find those motors used. It would be a great ski boat or just fun to ride around in.
