Ideal set back for Pulsare

13.5" on mine, I find it balances well, any porpoise I can control with trim/jackplate. I put a "drag" style planing plate on it and I can take the kids wakeboarding a 15-17 mph no problem, no issue coming off plane either. Runs 81-82 gps with a stock 225.

I just had a 10" plate put on my Longdeck and I have a 200 EFI. Any guesses as to what the best height of the motor should be? When is water pressure too low at WOT?

Droptop, with 10" of setback I would think that your propshaft should be 1.5" below the pad to help carry the bow (too high and you'll lose lifting capabilities) You could tinker at 1.5" below and go up to 1" above and monitor you progress. When you start losing water pressure or the bow drops you'll know you're too high!! I would think water pressure should be at least be 10lbs or more at wide open throttle...
